Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Enough Cream mobile application handles information and protects your privacy.
1. Core Privacy Principle
Enough Cream (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application that helps users apply the right amount of cream every time (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is designed so that your data stays on your device.
- Camera images are analyzed on your device and are never stored or uploaded.
- We do not collect your name, contact details, location, or any account information. The App has no accounts.
- The App sends anonymous performance, error and crash diagnostics to one service provider, Expo, so we can keep it fast and reliable. Section 3 lists exactly what is sent.
- We do not use advertising networks or any other analytics or error-tracking service, and we do not sell or rent any data.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App may store the following types of information locally on your device to provide its functionality:
- Your saved color and in-app preferences (for example, vibration feedback and the flashlight setting).
- Usage state needed to make the App work correctly (for example, last used mode or step).
This information is stored only on your device’s local storage and is never sent to us or to Expo. Any backups that occur (for example, via your operating system’s backup mechanism) are controlled by your device or platform provider, not by us.
3. Performance and Error Diagnostics
To find and fix slow starts, errors and crashes, release versions of the App send anonymous diagnostics to EAS Observe, a service operated by Expo (650 Industries, Inc.), the platform the App is built on. Diagnostics are sent over an encrypted connection, usually when the App moves to the background. They contain:
- Performance timings, such as how long the App takes to start, show its first screen, and become ready to use.
- The conditions those timings were measured in: app version, device model, operating system and its version, language setting, battery level and charging state, whether low-power mode was on or the device was hot, and the network type (for example, Wi-Fi or cellular).
- A summary of network requests made while the App starts: how many, their sizes and timings, and the host name of the slowest one. Never their contents.
- Error reports when something goes wrong: the error message, a code stack trace, and a short label naming the part of the App involved.
- Crash reports if the App closes unexpectedly: the type of crash and the code location where it happened, sent the next time you open the App.
- A random identifier for this installation of the App, used to group these reports. It is not linked to your name, your Apple or Google account, or any contact details.
Diagnostics never include camera images, the colors you capture or save, or your preferences. We use them only to improve the App’s speed and reliability, and we do not combine them with any other data. Expo processes them on our behalf, keeps them for a limited time, and handles them under its own privacy policy.
4. No Tracking
We do not:
- Require you to create an account or log in.
- Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information.
- Collect location data.
- Track your activity across apps or websites, or use advertising identifiers.
- Use cookies or advertising or marketing analytics.
Apart from the diagnostics in section 3, the App communicates only as necessary with the app store infrastructure to install updates or validate your purchase, as provided by your device’s operating system and app store. We do not receive identifiable data from those processes.
5. Your Choices and Control
- You can delete the data stored on your device at any time by uninstalling the App.
- You can also clear the App’s local storage using your device’s application settings, if supported by your operating system.
- Uninstalling the App stops all diagnostics. Because diagnostics are anonymous, we cannot connect them to you, so there is nothing to look up or export for a particular person.
If you restore a device from a backup or migrate to a new device, any App data that moves with that backup is handled by your operating system or backup provider, not by us.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). The App does not collect personal information from anyone, and its diagnostics cannot identify who is using it.
If you believe a child is using the App and you have concerns, you can remove the App and any associated local data from their device at any time.
7. Security
Because the App does not send personal data off your device, risks related to server-side breaches are minimized. Diagnostics travel over encrypted connections. Local security of your data depends on how you secure your device (for example, using a passcode, biometric lock, and keeping your operating system up to date).
We encourage you to use the security features offered by your device’s manufacturer.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
If we ever change what leaves your device, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what is sent, why, and how you can control it, before or when that change ships.
